The Environmental Cost Of Cut Flowers

May 4, 2009 · Written by Adam

Givingplants.com has created a video about the environmental cost of cut flowers. We’ve written about this before and it’s always worth thinking about it when buying flowers. While this basically and advert for Giving Plants in the US, there are more and more places to buy environmentally friendly flowers from. In the UK Arena Flowers is a good place to start.

Very interesting video. Maybe we should grow our own flowers.

Love the video with the constant dipping in poison It makes me think any Mother that gets Mother’s Day flowers is actually being poisoned by her husband and children.

Of course my wife has no green thumb and has killed every living plant she has attempted to grow. I let my kids just get her wildflowers from around the area. They don’t live as long but very eco friendly.

Yes, it was pretty interesting especially with Mother’s Day in the US this coming weekend.

Got something to say?
