How to earn $23,262 for doing very little
October 31, 2006
The person who uploaded this video has. It’s a video of Joe Eigo at Ryrsen University showing off his gymnastic skills.
Read/Write Web recently reported about video sharing site Metacafe. It has a revenue sharing programme for user submitted videos (to which they own copyright).
The payments are on a sliding scale and based on ‘views’. Payments start at 20,000 views ($100) and go up from there – e.g. 2 million views is $10,000. Videos must also have a rating of 3.00 or higher (maximum is 5.00) to qualify for payment
With over 4 and half million views of this video, this has turned into a nice little earner for something left on the site for nearly 3 years now. Are there any videos that you’ve taken that could be earning you money on an ongoing basis for doing nothing?
What constitutes a sport?
October 30, 2006
Now, my boss went to break dancing lessons as a kid. Instead of laughing, you should be jealous.

Now, you’ve got to ask yourself what the hell is that doing on Sky Sports 1? At least they could have that “sport” where the motorcycles drive up that steep hill to see how high they can get. Actually, that should be on the comedy channel…
Is darts a sport? I say “Yes, it’s like the javelin, but on a much smaller scale”. Others say “No, you can’t smoke and drink beer during a sport”. That’s not the dictionary definition though, Dictionary.com says:
- an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.
- a particular form of this, esp. in the out of doors.
- diversion; recreation; pleasant pastime.
Note #3. Seems a little vague to me to be honest. Writing this website is a pleasant pastime, yet I’m hardly breaking a sweat. Any thoughts?

October 30, 2006
This has got to be one of the funniest clips/take-off’s that I have every seen. Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar tweaking a clip from Lord of the Rings.
Guys, your eyes may water a little!

An explosion of colour
October 27, 2006
A recent Sony advert for it’s Bravia TV sets saw the Toryglen housing estate in Glasgow get covered in paint. Quite a lot of paint to be fair. Brilliant.

You can see the video in high resolution here, or watch it on YouTube below.

You can read more about it from the BBC here. Watch a bystander clip below too.

The video was directed by Jonathan Glazer (who also directed the awesome Virtual Insanity video for Jamiroquai), and it took 250 people 10 days to film. It also took 60 people 5 days to clean up the mess afterwards.
