Is Your Green Think Tank Actually Green?

Consumer Reports has a great little interactive quiz on whether that green sounding think tank is actually green or not. From their site: “A growing number of think tanks sound good for the environment but advocate for industries that could cause environmental headaches. (You think Americans for Balanced Energy Choices touts solar power? Nope.)”. Be sure to take the quiz with the sound on as sound effects let you know whether you’ve chosen correctly.

Consumer Reports also has a good analysis of why mail order companies send small products in huge boxes with tons of bubble wrap, etc… and how consumers can demand less waste, take a look at The Rap on Overwrapping and see how much packaging lip balm can come with…

  1. I wanted to send an email out to you guys so maybe you can help others. I purchased a Go Green product from a website called power2savings. At first I were skeptical of there product but I was intrigued on a 60 day money back guarantee. I installed the unit in August and in October I seen a 12% reduction in my energy bill from the month before and a 14 % reduction in my bill from October of 2007 (just to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges) I would recommend this product to anyone who has an electric bill. ANYONE.
